Apart from the 'Säubrenner' parish-fair, the festival in the town is the one which is always visited with pleasure as a culinary event.
The respective food stands offer at least one local delicacy or one international delicacy, so that a culinary tour through Burgstrasse and Neustrasse is created, inviting visitors to stroll from stand to stand in order to taste the various delicacies and at the same time listening to and watching the musical performances. In the course of the festival, music groups stroll around the streets, giving their best performance, just as they do during wine and street festivals along the Moselle.
All in all the Old Town Festival is a culinary street, town and music festival which attracts people to the town with good food and drink, and good music.

Every year, on the second Sunday in March, the large Wittlich Spring Fair takes place. This fair has become a firm event in Wittlich. About 40 regional suppliers are given the opportunity of offering their high-quality and home-made agricultural or viticultural products from the agricultural or viticultural enterprise and regional delicacies and to present their craft products to guests, visitors and residents.
This fair takes place also on the Wittlich retail traders' Sunday-opening shopping date, who have small surprises ready for their guests on this day. More than 100 specialised shops open from 13 – 18 hrs and await their guests with a wide assortment of articles, friendly and qualified specialised staff and a widely varied range.
This range is then offered from the “Platz an der Lieser” up to the market place lovingly called “heart of town”. The cordiality, which has made all markets so far so popular and successful provides visitors with pleasant and cheerful hours in Wittlich every year. Michael Groth, the organiser of the autumn market: “The clear layout and the mainly private suppliers are intended to characterise the market – by no means is it intended to compete with the shops in the town.” A special feature for children and youngsters is the children's roundabout, the sweets coach and the bouncy castle for the youngest visitors. Parking lots are available without any stress on one of the 1,750 free parking spaces at the centre of the town. The district town thus becomes an attraction for visitors from the region.

Every year, the Stadtmarketing Wittlich e.V. organises a large children's and youngsters' flea market in the centre of Wittlich. Children get the opportunity to sell or exchange their surplus games, stickers, teddies or footballs. At exactly 9 o'clock a.m., at the main opening time for the Wittlich retailers, a colourful spectacle makes its way from Himmeroder Strasse across the market place, along Burgstrasse and Neustrasse up to Trierer Strasse.

Cinema under the stars. Every year in summer, Stadtmarketing Wittlich presents a three-day open-air cinema in Wittlich's town park in cooperation with the Cinema “KINTIM” Wittlich.
“We want to prove that Wittlich has more than just a nice centre and shopping centre”, says Christian Schrot from the organising team. The programme consists of a classic film, an evening of great feelings and a film for young people.
The optical facilities of the town park and the technical prerequisites – a 100 m² large screen with Dolby stereo sound – as well as about 400 seats guarantee best possible cinema quality. Of course sustenance is provided during the open air cinema in Wittlich's town park: various stands offer sweets, drinks, ice-cream, popcorn – simply everything which is needed for a nice cinema evening.
On all three days the cinema show begins at about 22:00 hrs – in case of bad weather, rain clothes should be brought along. Every year entrance tickets can be bought from the beginning of July.

The focus of attention at the Wittlich Christmas Fair is the large Christmas tree in the middle of the Market Square.
During the week, the Christmas Fair stands are open daily from 11 hr to 19.30 hr.
Children can also enjoy themselves – for example, they can ride on the roundabout, go for coach rides through the town, let themselves made up. On many days a child care service is also provided.
